Structured Improv Quilting Class

Have you ever wanted to try making an improv quilt but didn't know where to start? This is a fun class where you will learn a technique for working without a pattern, combining several different kinds of blocks, such as flying geese, half square triangles, log cabins and variations on these, as well as several others. You'll be using a portable design wall, provided for in-class use.
The instructor will bring in several samples for inspiration, in the 16" x 20" size, as well as larger pieces. You'll discuss design considerations, color, block placement, and options for mounting your quilt as well as using this technique to build upon for future quilts. A list of supplies and a cut list to get you started right away in class will be provided upon registration.
